SYNOPSIS:

Budapest, 1936. Crime reporter Zsigmond Gordo receives a tip that leads him to a beautiful, well-dressed young woman, found dead with only a Jewish prayer book in her purse. In this world of brothels, crime syndicates and Communist cells that lead to the highest echelons of power, one of Hungary’s most influential business figures plans to make a fortune if he can keep his Jewish heritage a secret. Based on Vilmos Kondor’s crime thriller.
