In 1933, Germany was the vibrant and diverse center of the musical world. With the rise of the Third Reich, music was hijacked for propaganda purposes and thousands of musicians were forced to flee Europe. Exit: Music tells the stories of 5 composers whose works had all but disappeared. The stories are told today by family members and biographers with commentary from experts and rare archival footage. Their lost compositions are now performed by the ARC Ensemble (Artists of the Royal Conservatory), who have spent the last 12 years restoring these unknown masterpieces to their repertoire.
