SYNOPSIS:

Leo Melamed, the imperious Chairman Emeritus of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, is the man responsible for changing the way the world trades. His son Jordan gives us a crash course in “open outcry”, the secret code of the trading floor. A long-dormant battle between father and son echoes the shouting in the pits, as Jordan tries to communicate with his father, a Polish Jewish refugee. The currency of human transactions, on and off the trading floor, is poignantly portrayed as father and son struggle to move beyond their fraught past towards forgiveness and understanding. “Open outcry” is their only common language and Jordan is determined to close the gap with his father before the pits are silenced forever.
