Yoel, a meticulous Holocaust researcher is embroiled in a widely publicized legal battle concerning a brutal massacre of Jewish forced laborers near the Austrian village of Lensdorf. The killings were carried out by a group of local notables during a party at the castle of the Countess of Batthyan. Yoel’s research leads him to highly classified interviews of Holocaust survivors that were supposed to be kept under lock and key until their deaths. When Yoel’s pursuit of the truth leads him to bend the rules, he learns that his mother carries a false identity. As a historian, Yoel is willing to risk everything to discover the truth.
