She has been working with films and film festivals for over 20 years--as executive director of the Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival for 18 years, consulting programmer for the Palm Beach International Film Festival, the Palm Beach Women's International Film Festival, and the Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival.

Now age 26, Evan lives in a group home and attends a day program. Janet believes in making a difference in the lives of others and has dedicated her community involvement to advocating for those with disabilities. Janet serves on the boards of Jewish Association for Residential Care (JARC FL) and the Jewish Community Foundation.

Professor Guneratne researches the role that film, literature, and other artistic media play in cultural interactions, as well as the interrelations of written and spoken language, images, and music. A fellow of the Folger Shakespeare Library, the American Philosophical Society, and FAU's Dorothy F. Schmidt College, he takes an interdisciplinary approach to teaching film and audio-visual culture. He presently directs FAU’s interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Film and Culture.

He spent decades in quiet ministry in Long Island NY, New Jersey and now Pittsburgh. Then came the horrific morning of October 27, when a heavily armed gunman who police say had been pouring anti-Jewish hatred into the internet turned words into deeds, beginning a murderous rampage in the Tree of Life*Or L’Simcha synagogue building during morning Sabbath services.

Steven Oritt is an American director who began working in music videos and moved into documentaries with his feature-length debut “American Native” which earned best director/documentary awards at the 2015 Manchester International Film Festival, Harlem International Film Festival and Atlanta International Documentary Film Festival. Steven then launched James Lucy Productions, which is currently developing an episodic series for AMC Networks, recently completed his follow-up documentary “Accidental Climber,” as well as his feature debut, “My Name is Sara.”
